Patchwork HeartA Poem by kristen0928
The heart is a complex organ
Purposefully coursing life through my veins While simultaneously driving me insane How long does a heart take to recover A day A month A year Forever? My heart and my mind Banter behind my back Carelessly and continuously misinterpreting Aching and oh how I yearn for love To freely dispense from my patchwork heart To ebb and flow Freely and carelessly As it should But alas It creeps and crawls Slides under my walls Restricting its pent up release Inspecting its delivery Possible return to sender © 2017 kristen0928Reviews
