Formidable Fate

Formidable Fate

A Poem by kristen0928

If the future was mine to hold
I'm not sure I would want to see
What the hands of fate have
Sealed and marked
Implicitly for me

I don't know
If I believe in fate
In the theory that everything
Is meant to be
That every collective experience
Passing stranger
Lost love
Serves a divine purpose

Odious, abhorrent, and unwelcome
Tragedies are cyclic
And for what?
The all knowing, hereafter has a plan
So they say

If fate
Leads to destiny
And destiny is your path
Why is the road so
Twisted, formidable, and unyielding?

About
I love writing and reading. I have trouble sleeping. I think too much and love too deep. I have too many feelings and ponderings about life, and write therapeutically (as I'm sure most people do) more..

Writing
Running Running
