The Fight to Satisfaction

The Fight to Satisfaction

A Poem by kristen0928

We hide from our goblins

Try to scratch them away

Bury our bones in the garden

Explore new ways to wipe our slates clean

We filter out the things we don’t want to see,

The things we don’t want to remember

We suffer from temporary amnesia

To shield ourselves from the pain

We appear to be unbroken

But beneath the surface we are in pieces

We survive with the hope that we can raise our flags

And surrender

We hope to possess dexterity

In finding a way out of our mess

Of liberating ourselves from

The imprisonment of our sorrow

We attempt to take the leap

To satisfaction

About
I love writing and reading. I have trouble sleeping. I think too much and love too deep. I have too many feelings and ponderings about life, and write therapeutically (as I'm sure most people do) more..
