Grave

Grave

A Poem by kris reed
"

A critique of modern burials (Nov. 2009)

"

This is how I choose to live my life

This is how I choose to die.

Now honor my last request

And leave me where I lie.

You stole my every action

Now you steal what I left alone.

The trees watch you theft my last wish

And drag me from my home.

So simple and yet one of your most powerful poems. Perfect.
