Salmon

Salmon

A Poem by Randolf Ramos
"

Distant memories are sweeter than this world to behold

"

Feast, laughter song and poems

Distant memories yet so sweet

Rekindling like ember flashbacks,

Serenade the lament of every moment

Reminisce, oh dear,

Splurge into extravagance of memories

Nothing is so sweet than a parr

Discovery of morning sunset

Out of childish fascination,

Fresh as flowers, dews and bees,

In an early humid cold

A sight and feeling of wonderment behold.

The wander years that was long gone,

Stream of memories sweeter than none.

All salmon swim against all odds

To be at home in what they knew and had.

Sweet it is, this journey in life we’ve seen

Sweeter is the story untold, onto places we’ve been

If memories like salmon swim against the stream

This will be the sweetest among all it seem.

I loved this, it's just so tender, emotional, and beautiful with just a touch of classical into perfection. The picture you have painted with your words is an amazing one, well-crafted!

This comparison of memories to salmon is a good one, so many wonders in nature and life to remember, I am glad we can remember things in the distant past with such clarity.

There is such tenderness in your words at times, it is nothing short of breathtaking love! This is powerfully emotive, so much within life, how the heck do we verse it? I would say, like this! lol This ROCKS! xx

There is just a classical touch in your pen that I fall so deeply in love with>> A gentle flow of cascading waters refreshing to the mind and heart>> Memories could never be as precious as the words you have used to describe them>> Pristine ink that spills like honey onto the page>> Thank you for putting me in such tranquility>>

I think you've captured the essence of memory and reminisce. the analogy and metaphor to salmon is fitting. Being able to hold the memories, revere them so is the gift of the memory.
