Year 3016

A story of future world this is,

100 years from now in 3016 this story's place is.

100 years from today,

In 3016 there will be only black days.

Machines won't be controlled by us,

But we would be controlled my machines.

An old man of 3016 says remembering his childhood,

That there used to be trees with beautiful logs of wood.

There used to be a place for sentiments and feelings ,

there used to be bond between humans like siblings.

He continues by telling his present in 3016 ,

That no human has trust on each other and think each other mean.

They have no beautiful environment and nature ,

which will be seen and enjoyed happily by old and mature.

To breathe, there is no fresh air ,

for poisonous gases rich industrialists don't care.

Everywhere there is only destruction ,

True relation has nowhere its foundation for construction.

Then he curses his ancestors of 2016 ,

saying them mad and mean.

Says this 3016 punishment ,

was their testament.

They paved the way for destruction ,

they were cause of this bad condition.

They used resources unlimitedly ,

They harmed mother nature recklessly.

They sowed the seeds of fragile relation ,

by fighting with other nation.

They never preferred peace but always war ,

sufferers the people of 3016 are.

Hey , friends just one last question ,

Do you all want in 3016 such condition?

Then please do reform yourself ,

from curses of your descendants in 3016 you can protect yourself.

Adopt a witful approach towards environment ,

Not only for fulfilling ones selfish needs human life is meant.

At least care about your future generation ,

Do not fight with other nation....

Awesome work, But here's another side to it, a scientific one, By the time we reach 3000 AD we will be a type 3 civilization, essentially drawing energy frm the entire milky way and we will be capable of interstellar travel and who knows we might leave the earth for another home out in the cosmos :)

this is incredible!!! such meaning! it's a massive eye-opener to what's happening around us, and really no does seem to care. chemicals get released into the air and no one takes notice and we war on each other because of skin, race, culture and religion. It's so sad, but horridly true.

There are a significant number syntactic blunders which but when we talk about poetry...its always okay to ignore them
There's an awesome notion behind your poem and you address a major, essential subject and the subject is well addressed.
One more thing, it will take us 1000 years to get to 3016 not 100. You should change that...a lot of reviewers have pointed it out.
I enjoyed the concept and the flow was nice...well penned
