Broken

I know it's under poetry, but I actually wrote this a few days ago as an attempt at songwriting. Intending on adding another verse and melody when inspiration strikes at a time other than 2am...

Late nights like these are not to be remembered

Sitting lonely in the dark of December

The nights when all I see is you.

And I know it's not what's supposed to happen

 

I know I'm supposed to forget

But it's hard to move on

When I'm...

broken.

 

The days pass, turning into months and weeks

Can't help but wonder if you think of me

And the things we used to do.

'Cause those times are still burning in my heart

 

Yeah, I know I'm supposed to forget

But your eyes are on my mind

And I'm...

broken.

 

Oh oh, maybe, someday, you can love me right

But today, right now, guess I'm not worth the fight;

I love you more than words can ever say

And this aching heart will someday be okay.

 

But until then...

 

 

I'm broken.

normally i dont like poems that have anything to do with being sad or "im broken"
cause there is alot here on this site and it can get a little annoying! but ill say this one is cute cause i can tell your a swift fan, and she inspired you to write something cute
