Remember when there was no enter-the-net

There was an immanent human connection

Remember when there were pay-the-phones on every corner

Cell phones and text messages have taken its place

Remember when there were no computers

Everybody had to write something

Remember when there were record albums and Cd’s

N The 21^st century they were replaced with iTunes

Remember when gasoline was .99cents

Today it reached $2.65 per gallon at Chevron

Remember when watching TV was free

Now you have to pay to have reception on the screen

Remember at the grocery store everyone had to meet the cashier

Today you can avoid him or her and go to a self-check-out station

Remember when you had to buy rolls of film to develop pictures

Now photos are stored on a computer chip and printed immediately

Remember when you needed to talk to a bank attendant

Today you talk to a voice prompt named Alicia

Remember when it cost .50cent to ride the city-bus

Today it cost $1.00 for each trip with no transfer-slips

Remember at the airport you could just go through check-in

Now everyone is searched from head to toe for terrorism

Remember when you were hungry you could go to any local church to eat

For vittles you now have to accept their iconography
