Untitled 2 (Clouds?)A Poem by Kyle DoudListed in my catch-all document as "Untitled 2." Can't think of a good title--suggestions?
The Lord is a masterful painter;
the hearts of men at once His canvas and brush. When I gaze at Vesper-lit sky, yea, even the clouds are at once His canvas and brush. For one cloud may be the color of tears smeared in Adoration and another the gasp of fresh air outside the confessional. I have before seen clouds that looked like gray waves, the hue of "just taking life one step at a time and one step back," and others tearing and stabbing like twisting knives and, of course, clouds the color of avarice. Now, however, those I usually see are sweetly tinged with shades of pink and purple, or slightly singed with orange. I think that Heaven will be lit by an eternal Sunset and Sunrise and Sunday all at once.
