A Story I Had To Make Up For A 9-Year-Olds School Homework :/...it's not very good as i tried to make it believable for her age :(

"

I walked out of my classroom. It was a cold, dark winter’s evening. As I walked down my road with my school uniform hanging loosely off me, I passed a poor old lady. The more I looked at her, the less like a human she looked. I could see her quite clearly but for some reason she did not look quite as solid and humane as everyone else. This old lady had a blank expression on her face as if she was deaf and could not hear any of the cars or people that were walking past in the rush hour of tonight. She could not hear the cars that were standing bumper to bumper, containing annoyed driving who was constantly horning at each other in the hope that they could get home quicker.

I thought I should ring my mum on my mobile as it was getting very dark and I was getting scared. I thought better. If I rang my Mum she would just worry. So I decided to ring my friends, Chloe, Lucy and Susan and tell them to meet me at the end of my road. I timidly shuffled towards the curb in an attempt to get past the old lady. I did not know what it was but this old woman frightened me. It was something about the way she looked. As if her body was here but her mind was somewhere else.

I met up with Chloe, Lucy and Susan on the end of my road. I still had not been able to walk past this old lady. Chloe suggested that we cross the road and then cross back further down the road, but I had been specifically told by my mum that I was not to cross any roads as my area was very dangerous as my road was a very busy road and I could get knocked over. I really did wish that I was sound in the safety of my own home, listening to my music which made me relaxed and calm. I was the opposite of relaxed and calm now, I was petrified of crossing the road but I was also petrified of crossing the old lady. Even in the company of my friends, I felt there was no way out.

In the end I had no other choice than to ring my mum. She did not react as I thought she would. She told me not to worry and that she would be with my in 5 minutes. When she arrived in her car, I told her what happened and she did not shout at me. She dropped all my friends home and then told me that if I ever thought I was in danger ever again, to just ring her and she would be there. I love my mum!
