Crystal Ball

Crystal Ball

A Poem by Courtney
"

Life.

"

Susceptible to the human condition

I admit my inevitable fault.

Give in to the common tradition.

Lifelong dreams slam to a halt.

A full-circle change takes place

in those who grip the soap too tight,

we who try to slow life's rapid pace

and from our problems, take flight.

I'm too young to forsee the turns

It would be pointless to try

Too many life lessons unlearned,

too much cement waiting to dry.

The solution is to sit back and wait,

just let the changes occur.

Never try to alter life's fate;

your crystal ball is still a blur.

Life can never be foreseen... we can plan all we want but there are always circumstances that are beyond our control but keep life interesting and make us appreciate what we have and accomplish.. I like the cement drying part too.
