CHARACTERS

Main Characters

Name: Crescent

Nickname(s): Cress

Race: Hunter

Sex: Female

Hair: Light Purple

Eyes: Yellow

Special Abilities: Because she’s a Hunter, she has better strength, speed, agility, stamina, and senses than the average human.  She can also see the supernatural.  Her weapons of choice are kunai knives on chains that she hides in her sleeves.

Other Information:

-She tends to be blunt and rude

-Her favorite activity is hunting demons

-Doesn’t trust anyone, except her family and Marionetta

-Wears a crescent moon hairpin that her mother gave her

-Does not have the Hunter ability to summon a demon-slaying weapon, and because of this was left at home while the rest of her family hunt demons

-Her mother is unknown and left the family when Cress was very little, her father is Dontae, and her only sibling is Rune

 

Name: Silver

Nickname(s): Sil, Silv

Race: Demon (Type Unknown)

Sex: Male

Hair: White

Eyes: Icy Blue

Special Abilities: He can call upon his demon power to get demonic horns, wings for flying, claws, and a strong tail that can be used to attack as well as block.

Other Information:

-He is quiet and sometimes naïve

-He tends to be overly trusting of others

-He is creative and likes to write and draw

-Nobody, not even him, knows what kind of demon he is

-He was raised with Leif and doesn’t know anything about his real family

-He wears a cross necklace, which is impossible, because crosses burn demons.  The necklace seems to be impossible to take off, and no one knows what will happen if it is taken off.

-He is a member of the Tokyo demons’ fight against Purgatory.

 

Name: Marionetta

Nickname(s): Mari

Race: Automaton

Sex: Female

Hair: Silvery grey

Eyes: Yellow

Special Abilities: As an automaton (which is basically a robot), she is much stronger than the average human. She has the strange ability to pull giant glowing scythes right out of her body.

Other Information:

-She has no personality, but gradually learns by imitating Cress.

-She follows every order Cress gives her.

-She was found by Cress in a crypt under the family’s house, and neither Mari nor Cress knows how she got there.  She is hoping Cress’s mother or father can tell her more about her past and how she was created.

 

Supporting Characters

Name: Jem

Nickname(s): Blue Wolf

Race: Cerberus

Sex: Male

Hair: Navy blue

Eyes: Deep blue

Special Abilities: Modern Cerberuses have the power to create two “clones” of themselves at will, the other two heads of the three headed dog.  Their powers are rumored to be far greater than just this.  Jem is also skilled with shuriken.

Other Information:

-He is the son of the leader of the Tokyo city demons, but his father was killed by Purgatory, and he is now on the run.

-He fights against Purgatory with his friends and allies, and also as a masked vigilante called the Blue Wolf.

-He is considered the leader of the fight against Purgatory.

-He is cold towards others and doesn’t let people get close to him, but those that have known him for a long time know this personality developed as a result of his father’s murder, and before that he was very kind.

-He finds Cress interesting because she reminds him of himself.

-His favorite thing to do is cook, but that’s a secret.

 

Name: Meggan

Nickname(s): Meg

Race: Angel of War

Sex: Female

Hair: Light brown

Eyes: Light blue

Special Abilities: Being an angel, she can fly, and because she’s an angel of war, she can create any weapon she imagines at any time she wants.

Other Information:

-She appears to have amnesia, not remembering much of her past.

-Her personality is kind, caring, and always cheerful and optimistic.

-She never goes anywhere without her headband.

 

Name: Rune

Nickname(s): none

Race: Hunter

Sex: Male

Hair: Blue-black

Eyes: Yellow

Special Abilities: He’s got the typical Hunter abilities (strength, speed, stamina, etc.) and has also inherited the Hunter skill of summoning demon-slaying weapons.  His take the form of kusarigama.

Other Information:

-He travels around hunting demons with his father Dontae, Aurora, and Isamu.

-Isamu is his best friend.

-His personality is the opposite of his older sister Cress’s-he is always friendly and open to everybody.

-He is convinced he’s a better fighter than Cress.

 

Name: Violetta

Nickname(s): Vi

Race: Witch

Sex: Female

Hair: Purple

Eyes: Dark purple

Special Abilities: As a witch, she has a single unique power.  Hers is a kind of a superpowered telekinesis.  She can cause the world to literally twist around her.  It is a very hard to control power, though.

Other Information:

-She likes scary things, and tries to act creepy around other people, enforcing her “scary witch” stereotype.

-She is actually in need of a friend.

-She is one of those people who laughs easily, and when she laughs, other people laugh with her.

-She has a familiar named Munin, a raven with one eye that’s gold and one that’s silver.

-She says she doesn’t want to talk about her mother and father, but in truth doesn’t know who they are.

-She lives with her two older sisters (also witches) named Rosalina and Belladonna.

 

Name: Adelaide

Nickname(s): Adelle

Race: Yuki-onna

Sex: Female

Hair: Jet black

Eyes: Blue

Special Abilities: Yuki-onnas have the power to generate ice and snow in any form at any time-whipping up blizzards or freezing enemies in seconds.

Other Information:

-Formerly a member of Purgatory.

-She was good friends with Jem’s father, and worked as a spy in Purgatory for him.

-While she was in Purgatory, she was in the all-female group of assassins that Lilah is in charge of.

-She is an experienced fighter, and tends to hide her emotions.

-Cress and Co. tend to exasperate her so she likes to keep to herself.

 

Name: Leif

Nickname(s): none

Race: Hydra

Sex: Male

Hair: Redheaded

Eyes: Deep green

Special Abilities: The modern-day hydra can cause snakes (hydra heads) to come out of his body at will, usually out of his hands.  The ability seems to be unlimited, like the ancient hydra.  Cut off one head, two more grow back.  He also recovers from injuries quickly.

Other Information:

-Silver’s adoptive brother.

-His eyes betray the fact that he’s a hydra as they are green and reptilian.

-He is a member of Jem’s group of friends who fight Purgatory.

-He is easygoing and nice, but enjoys playing pranks and tends to speak or act before he thinks.

-He is also pretty lazy.

 

Name: Dontae

Nickname(s): none

Race: Hunter

Sex: Male

Hair: Black

Eyes: Yellow

Special Abilities: Because he’s a Hunter, he has all the abilities (strength, speed, stamina, etc.) including the skill to summon demon-slaying weapons.  His take the form of bullets, which he fires through his twin pistols.

Other Information:

-The father of Jem and Rune.

-He is always flirting with Aurora, much to Rune’s embarrassment and Cress’s anger.

-Cress doesn’t like him very much because he took off with Rune to teach him to hunt as soon as his powers showed up, leaving Cress home alone.

-He travels with a hunting party consisting of his son Rune, Isamu, and his current love interest, Aurora.

-He jokes around a lot, but the jokes are always terrible, so he’s learning to stop.

 

Name: Aurora

Nickname(s): Aura

Race: Witch

Sex: Female

Hair: Very dark brown

Eyes: Sparkling green

Special Abilities: Her witch power is the ability to see the future in the form of visions.  She cannot control when the visions come.  She is also a skilled martial artist.

Other Information:

-Her eyes are a brilliant green color.

-Her past is unknown.

-She travels with Isamu, Rune, and Dontae, who she flirts with constantly.

-She has known Dontae for a very long time.

 

Name: Isamu

Nickname(s): none

Race: Hunter

Sex: Male

Hair: Blue-black

Eyes: Blue

Special Abilities: Typical Hunter abilities: the strength, speed, etc., and the weapon summoning.  His demon-slaying weapon is a katana.

Other Information:

-He comes from an ancient line of Hunters and has gone to train under Dontae, who is relatively famous in the demon-hunting world.

-He doesn’t think much of Cress, as she can’t summon a weapon.

-He is best friends with Rune, who is part of the same demon-hunting group, along with Dontae and Aurora.

-He is always very serious.

 

Minor Characters

Name: Jayce

Nickname(s): none

Race: Phantom

Sex: Male

Hair: Blonde

Eyes: Constantly shifting color

Special Abilities: Phantoms possess the power to fly and become a sort of mist.  The mist form retains the phantom’s human appearance.  It can be used to move through even the tiniest of spaces.  Jayce is also an accomplished martial artist.

Other Information:

-He is always cheerful and is a very likeable person.

-He’s a member of Jem’s “elite guard.”

 

Name: Kaela

Nickname(s): none

Race: Kitsune

Sex: Female

Hair: Redheaded

Eyes: Green

Special Abilities: Kitsunes have an incredibly wide variety of skills.  They can be employed to transform into a fox or a flying orb of light, called a foxfire.  Kitsunes can also use illusions and limited pyrokinesis.

Other Information:

-She is very quiet and hardly ever talks.

-She is part of Jem’s “elite guard.”

 

Villains

Name: Lilah

Nickname(s): ???

Race: Demon (Type Unknown)

Sex: Female

Hair: Jet Black

Eyes: Bloodred

Special Abilities: She can call upon her demon energy to transform into her demon form, obtaining horns, claws, wings for flying, and an incredible tail, that can stretch for long distances and is as sharp as a blade.

Other Information:

-She’s the leader of Purgatory’s group of all-female assassins, that Adelaide was formerly part of.

-She is sadistic, and her favorite thing to do is slowly cut away at victims with her incredibly sharp tail until they bleed to death.

-She has vey good knowledge of the human body.

-She has trained long and hard with her tail, making it into a deadly weapon.  It can stretch for long distances and stab things very fast with the tip.

-Her past is shrouded in mystery, but it may be related to Silver’s, as they’re demon powers are very similar.
