Binge Eating Disorder

Binge Eating Disorder

Not that hungry

but I need to fill this emptiness

not in the stomach

but somewhere in my brain

when it’s full, I can sleep

As someone currently in recovery for BED, this speaks so loud and hits home. So simple, but expresses the core of what lies in those who suffer from BED. Well done.

quite the topic! and the poem hits it right on the noggin i believe. people binge not outof hunger, but for another type of hunger, namely the one(s) that coerce you to eat in order to achieve something or to just fill a void. a well written piece! thanks for sharing! it's been nice reading your work again...
