Vers de Laurie

Vers de Laurie

A Poem by Koeseki

Falling falling this light that strikes,

Chilly touch of eternal dawn,

Fire rushing through veins ignite,

For such a thing there is no law

The first warmth reaches deep,

Great nature's mountain before my eyes

Awaken from a steiner sleep,

Slope graces thee from earthen ties,

Deep in glory orbs of glass,

lays that which draws the heart,

is stronger than a breath of rain,

How could there be so bright an art,

Have you ever heard the full moon sing,

The excitement of a golden hart,

looks like I've been struck Laurie

by your ever sweeter burning dart
