A Poem by Cas Murray
"

let it rain

"
I bask myself in the yellow rays
Still; I find wonder in the darkest place
Thunderstorms are no stranger to me

I’ll sit on the porch and watch them.
I think it’s the sound of the rain
Hitting the ground
Finally
Living

The rain turns into a drizzle; the drizzle a shine.

There are always rainbows after thunderstorms

And maybe that’s why I don’t mind watching the rain fall.

This is well-written with lots of bright imagery & thoughtful feelings expressed. I love the way your message could pertain to an actual rainstorm or it could be a metaphor for those rainy stretches in life . . . the conclusion is still the same! If we can just find something to like, pretty soon things will change, & hopefully to something we like even better! In today's dreary world full of bad news, a simple refreshing poem with life-inspiring observations is soooo needed! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Metaphor or not I love the picture you paint with your words. I get excited at the thunderstorms nature provides and like you I relish the expansive rainbow that follows. In life the thunderstorms are not as welcome, they are made tolerable only by the welcome rainbow that hopefully marks their end. I like this a lot.

Take care - Dave

The sun makes things grow but the rain cleans them. I like a shiny storm too. Nice write.
