My Hands Hate the Pen

My Hands Hate the Pen

A Poem by Matthew Kay
"

For all those who wish a love of writing could be taught.

"

Love the copout

You have to

Will is not tied

to a fleshy string

it is eternal

Alive,

Undefined

Exalt the delayed

Please

Raise the undone,

Free to copulate

with deed

Defer all discipline

Ratify

the wasting away

with success,

Unite with a love

Unfamiliar

Have you done it?

No?

neither have I

Where's my goddamn trophy

Author's Note

Matthew Kay
Its been a long, long, long time since I've written a damn thing. I'm hoping with others help I might actually pick it up long enough to make it a habit. So..... bash or bask in it, doesn't matter to me.

I think I can see the meaning behind the piece.
I found it to be a little light on the discription, the analogies being a bit vague.
The last nine lines were realy confusing in their meaning.

It seems to be very esoteric in it's vibe. I suggest bringing it down to earth a little bit more.

Other then that I liked the thought behind it though.

Don't give up!
