SNIPPETS

A Poem by Marie
"

Four very short poems.

"

MORNING

Silver misted roses

Are slowly waking up,

As dawn turns every petal

Into a golden cup.

     EDUCATION

Learn to see earth working under

Each trumped-up disguise;

After while you’ll see that even

Spring’s an old surprise.

          ED DREW

Ed Drew is a happy man;

To each job he says “I can!”

In each grief he kneels to pray,

Talking with God every day.

If the world were like Ed Drew

Paradise could still come true.

APPLE TREE

Copper branches,

Gold inlayed;

Balls of ruby

Framed in jade.

Author's Note

Marie
Should it be "gold inlayed" or "gold enlayed"? I'd actually like a better phrase than that.
