Insomnia

Insomnia

A Poem by Knij Nagili
"

Can't sleep...

"
Listening to others talk
Watching cars pass by
Waiting for the sun to rise

Killing time, staying awake
Trying to think of something
Anything, other than this

I think I'm dying
And yet, and yet...

This is what it feels like to be living.

Very much enjoyed, reality is sad and it gets weirder everytime. Great write!

This was written while I was killing time on a fastfood chain located on a main highway. So yeah, I could clearly see the cars.

"Watching cars pass by" - my friend and I were so bored that we made a game up. We were to construct words using all the letters in a car's license plate. For example AXY178 = auxiliary, waxy, etc.

The title is actually a misnomer. It's not just about the inability to sleep, it's more about me realizing how often it is that life turns out to be the way we least expect it.

Thanks for reviewing! ^.^

This is an interesting and very visual depiction of a few moments in the night of an anguished soul. We feel the anguish quite strongly, but we don't know what has brought it on. But your words certainly make us ask.

My only question is with regard to the cars. If it is dark ... the time when we should be sleeping ... would we actually see the cars? Or would we see their headlights.
