She Hates Me

She Hates Me

A Poem by Knij Nagili
"

Damn you.

"

Maybe today I’ll fulfill my promise

And take you on a journey

I could hold your hand

And for a while, forget that I’m lonely

Maybe tonight I’ll dream about you

And vividly recall your angelic laughter

I would gaze endlessly at the stars

And pretend that nothing else would matter

Maybe tomorrow I’ll sing a new song

And dedicate it to the one I adore

It could be a love song, maybe even two

And hope that you’d ask me for an encore

Or maybe right now I’ll lie in my bed

And wonder why you hate me

For all I know, you are nothing

But a mere figment of my insanity

This was awesome, and I'm glad I read it. I loved the parts about dreaming and the third stanza, and of course the power and feeling in that last line was pure awesomeness.

...longing for and feeling pain for someone that is nothing but a mere figment of our insanity.

Awesome!!! I think most of us are afraid to think too much about this concept because it hits too close to home.

Gerat job here.
