boundary

boundary

A Poem by knightcall

it's been weeks since the warmth left the air
everything i hear comes inside the wind
every time the inside of me reaches out
the only destination is you
it's a magic trick i played on myself
i find you in the midst of empty space
i found a space to stay along the boundary
the birds awakened us and
filled our eyes with majesty
we can lay in open space tonight
i can remember meeting you like the day i was born
we'll fall asleep to the sound of rushing water
the view of hidden stars beckoning the moon
the days before you a fleeting comet
my head not catching any perspective
the sky is falling down upon us
dangerous pink hues of a day gone by
time is such a freewheeling b***h
why is the world confused and calling
there aren't enough nights
who we are hijacks the day
i can hold you as one again
my favorite light to see you by is fire
form a cocoon with me 'til morning
let's float upon the fog of the bay
i have so many words i keep inside
my thoughts can fill the sky
and i know i'm not sleeping
i'm watching a multitude of wings in flight
the heavens never saw this
they didn't see them in your hands
