port wine is dark

port wine is dark

A Poem by knightcall

she shines brighter than any angel
let your wings down
turn that halo into
a navel ring
you squeezed all the bibles in the sacristy
used the ink for your tats
and i can see the revulsion of the congregation
it only makes me want you
want you
anywhere there's crosses and bells
you got drunk on the sacramental wine
all giggles and come hither
baby you're the perfect host
the light never came through the stained glass
until you were here
don't convince yourself
there are no bad boys on the altar
sometimes the prayer book is
lined with pornography
i heard the bells
found you the tower
your wings were raised
your glow was back
you gave me a last kiss
then you flew away
