golden sand

golden sand

A Poem by knightcall

meander through my thoughts
the current brings them here and back
the sun cuts through the clouds and tells me
the secrets of every feather here

i'd like to stay here connected to you
there's too much to do off this island
gold coins waiting to be put in a pocket
the saddest pocket that's ever been

waves appear and disappear in my sunglasses
i'm alive but i can hardly feel
we worked so hard on our technicolor world
can you hear me remembering
can you hear me feeling

beneath three layers of skin you'll feel my pulse
you pull me, you tug me to shore
i pay no attention to the tide or wind
all the creatures of the sea
they think i'm aloof

did I forget or
was it self-deception
sometimes i'm chasing earthquakes
forgetting where i was
closer to anything i've ever been

you look like a goddess twisting in the sand
i can feel, i'm rich in your arms again

I love this stanza, as well as all of them, but this one stood out...I'm alive but I can hardly feel, wow that is exactly where its at. "our technicolor world" love it.

Love this stanza

beneath three layers of skin you'll feel my pulse
you pull me, you tug me to shore
i pay no attention to the tide or wind
all the creatures of the sea
they think i'm aloof

Nice poem, love how abstract it is.
