hold your breath

hold your breath

A Poem by knightcall

we always had trouble reading each other
why couldn't we talk
you know like books on talk

when the story is over
someone comes along and tells you the truth
it takes a third party to say
what it is you couldn't
what it is you wouldn't

and i have to wonder
how many loves that you lost to silence
how many you couldn't pull the trigger
played it safe
revealing nothing at all

what did that get you
but a wondering heart
what did you get you
tears to a love song on the radio

sometimes we risk being hurt
by trying not to be hurt
the hurt of the unknown stays with you
the hurt of the gap hurts you
if is a word that will haunt you
in silence there are no answers and
inside games
there is only anger

A love wasted is worse then a love lost. Very nice!
