just get here

just get here

A Poem by knightcall

the neon lights can't douse your smile
tonight i hold your hand knowing
i'm the envy of every man on the street
imagine if they knew
the shining light you shine within

it's like i'm living in a world of make believe
but i can feel way past tonight
your eyes draw me in like tide to the shore
and i want to be lost
i want to be another victim of discovery

the images you leave
they keep shuffling in my mind and
putting it all together
your voice, your touch
you send me letters made of silver
you make me addicted to grey

and i know
we are a little dangerous
but isn't that part of the thrill
put your hands up baby
i'm your roller coaster man
i'll take you up
i'll take you down

we can make castles out of stone
carve them up and sculpt them with what we see
we won't ever need a fire baby
become part of my arms
sync your heart to mine

hey baby
if i got you in trouble with
my personal call
i apologize for
the pull of my heart
sometimes it comes busting out of the chute
a beast waiting to be tamed

it begins to rain on us but
we hardly notice
the streetlights form a silhouette of
you and I
immersed in a good morning kiss
