mourning 'til morning

mourning 'til morning

A Poem by knightcall

here where the night begins
i pull open the shades
hanging on to every shred of daylight
and i've been up so long
i've started to see ghosts in the windows

inside this moment
i have no desire to
think about the past
when the future owns me
and the next time
i will be free will be
when i can feel
i can feel the sun in my eyes again

i knock off another day
and i count the days left
trying to survive when
the hours do their best to defeat me
someone send me a sign of
a time that doesn't have a jester in charge

Well penned. This day is almost over. Try and get rest when you came. Keep up the great work.
