track and field

track and field

A Poem by knightcall

i was running so fast

how did you ever catch me

i covered all my tracks

glided like a black paper airplane

trying to stay underneath storm clouds

still you found me

yet i wasn't surprised

i saw your beauty reflecting in the ocean

i heard your voice sing inside my heart

you filled my senses with the euphoria of something new

wrangled my hope from where it should not have been

the sunlight trickling through the trees

gave me no clue to the mosaic majesty of you

i put my hands out in front of me

expecting you to lock them into place

instead you hold them with the touch i once could only see

please forgive me if my words are spellbound

i'll recover with a poem that befits you

Oh wow Sir Knight! You have once again woven romance for your lady fair. I love the "mosaic majesty of you." Such beauty in those words. I hope she appreciates it! Keep on penning.
