presence

presence

A Poem by knightcall

i saw the storm coming
it was climbing up the hill
the rain fell like broken glass
it cut around my heart
and showed the presence that is you

though i sat there bleeding
the drops fell from me
and painted a picture
a picture of you
the presence in my heart

some people thought i was haunted
a matrix of blood and skin
really folks i'll be fine
i'll bandage myself up in time
i have the strength of knowing you
we'll watch the adult swim while i heal

i wonder about the scars
but that doesn't really matter
'cause i know that you will renew me
my fountain of a different kind
hang on a little while sister
i'll catch you in a length of time

I truly enjoyed reading this poem. It is very well constructed with good imagery and delivery about pain, sorrow and human suffering. Excellent poem.
