i can't make sense of the state i'm in i was asleep then the calls came in i called the page operator she couldn't clue me in she said that she usually writes these things down but not tonight add some confusion mix up tonight make the water turn from clear to bright
so i go down to the vending machines something's got to appeal to me give me some Zingers i know they're not not healthy but i need some sugar i need some caffeine at this time of night i need it from a machine
i am the watchdog of this universe i am going home in four and a half hours i don't wear a cape boots are unsensible times like these make you feel indispensible
they call it a sleep room but really there is no room to sleep they don't turn off the batsignal in the middle of the night
