"

A rock and roll poem back from my days of writing lyrics for Angry Candy

"

i'm too tired to

write a song

but i wrote one anyway

the piano player's playing

and my words won't get in the way

oh for a weekend out with you

you crazy little sister

if i didn't know you

I never would be inside this twister

and i scrape for evidence like

some CSI flunkie

trying to see

how you feel

if our DNA shares some appeal

i know i'm crazy

my head has dents it from

banging it on the wall

and i've almost grown deaf

courtesy of Itunes

will you take a bite of the Apple

will you?

is it silly to

fall in love with a voice on the telephone

is it silly to

plunge yourself into a photograph

surely you'd let me know

if i'm wasting my time

elevating my heart over the line

I don't think love is silly at all. When you feel it, you really feel it. So, if you're in love, then you're in love. And really, I think that's all there is to it. If you feel it, then it must be true.
