disciple departure

disciple departure

A Poem by knightcall

this pain in my arm

it won't go away

trashed the office and

i kicked down the door

i just had to write it down

i just had to write it down

ravens swoop up behind me

i can feel them

i can hear them

you better not f**k with me today

i spin around

a broken antique bottle in my hand

showing my teeth

the flock flees and i laugh

looking at the blood trickle from

my hand to my wrist

i just had to write it down

i just had to write it down

the sunlight hurts my eyes

i've been living in the relative dark of

the human garage

i pound my drums

wail a rock a rock and roll anthem

"and this bird you cannot chaaaaaaaaange"

i punch the gas

sneering at the police station

daring them to collect their taxes in tickets

i just had to write it down

i just had to write it down

Ha ha ha! I recognized the song lyrics immediately! Dude, sometimes you just need to let the beast rage, let it rage, or else it'll destroy you. I find it hard to control all the time, but I guess that's what being human is...balancing the beast with whatever it means to be "human".

This is so similar to my own need. I mean it is written remarkably well but then again everything you compose is remarkable but this has a breath of life to it that sweeps me of my feet.

Awesome write. I can just hear those drums! Nothing like a good drum solo! Keep on penning and singing and writing it down.
