Saying Goodbye

Saying Goodbye

A Poem by Kristen Pettersen
"

dedicated to my friend Ray. RIP.

"
The words carved deep into my mind
The words they told me so.

The words cut through my heart.
Standing, silent, breathing.

A beautiful day, but cold and crisp
Frozen down to the bone.

She says my name louder, a second time.
I'm holding on to what is mine.

The words they hit so hard and fast
Trees sway side to side
The ground spins faster.

Rain pours from my face.
Flooding my mind.

I think back to your last words
Before I had to let you go.

"I love you."

sad..
I'm aware of your condition in such a situation..
Separations do hurt us a lot but we should take them in a positive attitude as a challenge to meet again..but when lost it is really hard to control and bear..

Great poem, I can almost hear the sad violin music in the background.
