Like MeA Poem by kaylaAbout my younger cousinI see her and I worry that she'll grow up to be and go through the same trials and troubles as me; so clueless and naive, young and dumb, she wants to be older, she wants to have fun. "Too young" for boyfriends and parties, but she doesn't care, already wearring lacy bras and dying her hair; she thinks that it's cute, thinks that it's cool, because cousin Kayla did it, she thinks she can too. But I worry about her because she doesn't understand, it's not cool to do drugs and run away with a grown man; But her dad is on meth and her mom a drunk, so I don't see any other way that she'll get out of her funk. She's impulsive, impressionable, and it's terrifying to think that the little girl might grow up to be just like me.
