Gone

Gone

A Poem by kayla
"

Poem about my aunt

"

She trudges a lonely rope between

reality and absolute bullshit,

lives in a world that doesn't exist,

indulges in fantasies and various falsehoods.

She has two daughters, two beautiful children

who just want to be like mommy,

but mommy is a million miles away,

safely laying a heavy head atop the pillow of

alcohol and meth, portraying drowsy smiles

and dreamy, unfocused eyes,

trudging a dangerous tightrope

between death and barely alive.
