Valley GirlA Poem by kaylavery random poem about my valley girl accent brought about by a promptWhen I was young and I grew up, I grew up in "The Valley", land of "Clueless" and "Omigawd, like, no waaay" and the vernacular grew upon me. I remember the first time I said, "Yaa", and my mom asked if a Swedish chick lived here, and that line has followed me afterwards for what seems like years and years. I've been told that I say, "like", way too much, that I sound like a "valley girl", but I've tried to change the way that I talk, but always, to no avail. So I've given up on expressing myself differently, I say, "Yaa" and "Omigod" and "like", and I've decided that if people can't tolerate that then tey can get out of my life <3 © 2012 kaylaAuthor's Note
