Friends With Benefits

Friends With Benefits

A Poem by kayla

It seems that every time we speak
I get torn more apart.
I don't know how we'll work
when you're breaking my heart.

You make it very clear
that I am second best.
Yet neither of us can seem to put
this relationship to rest.

I'm hurt once again
and it seems more each time.
I feel helpless against you
yet you're not even mine.

S**t is so complicated,
I knew I never should have said yes
to making my best friend
a friend with benefits.

It'd be cool if these were put to music! You are great with rhyming and the flow!

Ughhh, been here before. All you can do is learn from it. You've expressed yourself well.

Unfortunately, this is what happens when people enter these types of relationships. Someone will always develop feelings, and hearts will be broken. I liked your poem because it spoke from the broken-hearted person's point of view.

When you cross a certain line. Things will change. Friends and lover's are two different things. I like the wisdom learn in this poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poem.
