"CHASING PERFECTION"

"CHASING PERFECTION"

A Poem by Kenny L. Mitchell

“CHASING PERFECTION”

On the edge of dreams

Between heaven & reality

She patiently waits for me

An angel like no other

Beautifully refined & exquisite

The definition of feminine mystique

Beyond earthly descriptions

Her two mystical eyes

Bequeath to me riches

Beyond my inadequate disposition

Soft subtle whispers

Illuminate the sensuality

The pure magical essence

Reflected between she and I

Exquisite golden brown skin

Reflective as honey in sunlight

Deliciously sweet and sublime

I have longed for her embrace

Her gentle kisses at twilight

Wishing beyond measure

That she could be mine

On this earthly plane

She casually walks by

Leaving me breathless

My heart racing each time

After a lifetime of searching

I am blessed to discover

The most beautiful person

The most exquisite

Of God’s creations

Was right

Before my

VERY

Eyes

The form of this poem enhances it dramatically, giving the words new life as they follow those sensuous curves to the finish. Your expressive word choice is wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed the read. Thank you very much for sharing. :)

Oh you lucky lad.. So many times we walk right past what has been there all along..
This is a beautifully written semi-tribute to the desires and dreams of the writer.
Your beautiful style is showing through mighty fine here.. (Muse perhaps she is???)
Kenny-San this is wonderful stuff..
