"The Clickity Clack of Clarity"

"The Clickity Clack of Clarity"

A Poem by Kenny L. Mitchell

"The Clickity Clack Of Clarity"

Sometimes beneath a moon(less) night

Sleep eludes me like a crimson lover

And teases me like a subtle whisper

I drowsily arrive to my Eden

The vestibule of my creativity

My fortress of eternal solitude

As I sit across my silion friend

The troublesome monitor beckons

My inner muse to spring into action

The plastic keys echo into the night

Clickity clack they speak volumes

To the lingering cusp of my imagination

Where once only moments before

Bewildered thoughts consumed

Lie the beautiful vision of creativity

The cornerstone that builds dreams

And as I sit back and sip

my herbal earl grey tea

I know that the fire of imagination

Has refreshed my weary spirit

As I leave my antechamber suite

I lay my head against silken pillows

Knowing that my dreams will again

Cast me somewhere beyond

 the ethereal darkness

& cumbersome insomnia

A place where all my dreams

Have the potential of coming true

Beyond the rainbow's pot of gold

We all hope and dreams of a beautiful place we see as our fountain of youth, our happy place or Our place of Peace. I must admit that it took me awhile to find mine but I have found it. For me its the place I go to when I close my eyes. A pond, A pool its always either water or something with scenery. Your place of peace sounds amazing.
