"Sailing Home" (Joel's Journey)

"Sailing Home" (Joel's Journey)

A Poem by Kenny L. Mitchell

"SAILING HOME"

(Joel's Journey)

Troubles of this world

Will never last always

My soul has finally found

A place of brighter days

A place where I can bring

My tiny ship ashore

Where I can see colors

I have never seen before

Storms & seas have raged

My tears fell like rain

I want to sail away

From this world of pain

A place where my life

Is all it’s meant to be

There are no more sorrows

My soul is finally free

Please don’t shed a tear

I long to see his face

Where I will be welcomed

To his sweet amazing grace

Trials and tribulations

Are a part of this life

But I’m above this pain

Beyond a world of strife

 The winds are silent now

The rainbow is high above

I pull up to the shore

Where I can see his love

Don’t you ever worry

Because I am not alone

As I enter into his kingdom

It’s just like sailing home
