"dichotomous dictation"

"dichotomous dictation"

A Poem by Kenny L. Mitchell

“dichotomous dictation”

(a philosophical fantasy)

These words divisible

By their own constant sorrow

Partaken into my mouth

Chewed and digested

Giving nourishment to the needy

(not the greedy)

One nation under a lie

Crushed into silicon silhouettes

And postmodern angst

The most delusional here

Is like a GOD unto others

Placement napkins

Beneath a benefice buffet

While the starvation of millions

Fills the ears of no one

The partition of the rich

Slice the poor & disenfranchised

Into tasty sobriquets

Outside the sign says:

“Over 1 billion served”

But who serves those

Who can not serve themselves?

I love this piece! It is sad how some bask in greed and the unneeded luxuries of life when their are those who don't have food to eat, clothes to put on their back, and and home to go to. This poem was very emotionally evoking and inspirational. I especially liked the verse:

While the starvation of millions
Fills the ears of no one
The partition of the rich
Slice the poor & disenfranchised
Into tasty sobriquets

This is so true and so well spoken. Well done! Excellent read!
