"starlight & kisses"

"starlight & kisses"

A Poem by Kenny L. Mitchell

“starlight & kisses”

I see starlight

Reflected

Beautifully

In her dark

Mystical

Eyes

Engrossed

in the subtle

Textures

And chameleonic

Colors

I find myself

Lost

In the drift less

Eternity

That hides

Beneath two

Shimmering

Pools

I stand before

God’s lovely

Emissary

His resplendent

Angel

I lose

Control

Of my senses

As my heart

Races

And an

Electric thrill

Runs subtly

And elusively

Down my spine

As she caress

Me

With delicate

Fingers

I feel

The blood race

Through

My veins

Slowly two

Ruby red

Lips

Inch closely

To my own

Like crushed

Rose petals

In the snow

So perfectly

Sweet her

Lips

Caress

Mine

And for

A moment

Time stands

Still

As my

Aching heart

Is healed

And its

Subtle beats

Match

Perfectly

With her

Own

A star shooting

By

Pays silent

Homage

Two beautiful

Souls

Find momentary

Solace

In the

Passing

Of

A kiss
