"silver dawn"

"silver dawn"

A Poem by Kenny L. Mitchell

Silver Dawn”

Between the silent soliloquy of night & dawn
She waits for me amongst the peerless stars

Forever indoctrinated with my desires
Her fervent wishes crash against the rocks of reality
Transforming my silicon flesh with pixilated pastels

Amidst the simmering confusion of what is
And what shall ultimately be
The cracked dry earth leaves fecund roses

The delicate disposition of those who wait
Resound like thunder against my unsubstantiated mind

Worrisome tears fall like sand from her eyes
While my unattended desires falter like leaves

The gusty winds of unattended memories crack
Leaving the shattered remains against the shimmering floor
A jagged million pieces to be swallowed passionately

The decadence of dawn fallls
Like a silver flash against the ebony sky
The prayers of silent tongues fall
Against the simmering ear of ambivalence
