silent sonata

silent sonata

A Poem by Kenny L. Mitchell

"silent sonata"

Dance with me

Beneath the brilliant stars

Dazzling as summer jewels

Be with me as one

While the liquid lyrics

Lift our hearts

Beyond the southen sun

Bequeath to me eyes

That speak to me of eloquence

Beyond the boundaries

Of words and hidden speech

Lie with me here

In this hidden place

Where the desperate longing

Of forgotten yesterdays

Reach beyond the pale memory of now

Think of me long after

This ethereal moment

When the night is your only solace

Dream of me unto the dusty sunset

Where the mercurial musings of life

Fall against your sullen brow

Against the pale shade of heaven

My heart will drink the sweet beverage

The sublime mystery

The unique perfection

That is you

Lie with me here

Reach beyond the pale memory of now.
This verse was absolutely well verbalized and well constructed. The poem had me intrigued till the very last line. Excellent read!
