Shattered Silence

Shattered Silence

A Poem by Kenny L. Mitchell

"Shattered Silence"

the echo of two slamming doors

resonates my conscious

a frigid glance between two lovers

fills sheer volumes

what jagged shards cut to the quick

inspire my tears dreaming of yesterday

a summer of soft kisses

before winter's harsh discontent

an ever growing gulf stands between us

I wish upon The northern star

Whispering a secret prayer

All the while I long for your touch

Ah, the elusive disconnection(arguement).. this is another example of why you are in the cream of the crop. Your writing is just brilliant..
