"beautifully black"

"beautifully black"

A Poem by Kenny L. Mitchell

"beautifully black"

Beneath her Golden crown

Lies Dark braids

Her skin Brown as Carmel And thick As crude Oil

The body Of a Nubian Goddess

And the Heart of An elegant Queen

Beats beneath Her fervent Desires

With one Small Kiss She spins Me around Like a Carousel

Hopelessly Inebriated And intoxicated For what She Inspires

She my Ethereal Goddess Fades from My Waking Slumber

Like a Toxic mist Leaving the Scent of Yesterday's Longings

With a hint Of sweet Perfume Upon my Silken pillow

Shrouded in Darkness And mystery

She fills My heart With a Constant Longing

My ebony Lover Whom I Worship For All Time
