languid (mornin', Sweeting)

languid (mornin', Sweeting)

A Poem by kmf

Languid (mornin', Sweeting)

mornin', Sweeting:

dawn's faintest glow

sparrows chorus

a hint of contrails heard

in their unseen wake

eyes closed

denied, the day

and conjured, invoked

at the lightest touch

a whisper

of sueded silk and soft cottons

warm, sacred breath

sweet bed-scent

stretching, turning

into my pillow

I breathe in

where lately you lay
