someA Poem by kmartellsome
lingering doubt ...your job is to say something they have tied you to a chair
they want to put you into a suitcase it is like
some motionless soul inside the suitcase
the train is barking and a dog and there are summer trees whispering but you feel nothing some one has opened a grave
eyes pass you on the street they do not know that you are locked in a suitcase
you fear the sidewalk, wind, open doors...you are running from
some hard evidence... something about you is running now faster, faster, spittle emptying inside your mouth you finally have lost your heart
you hurry to get home where nothing is said, dinner is cold a small child looks at you
and that is all
