climbingA Poem by kmartellwe climbed higher and higher bugs, snakes,
the presure of climbing must have entered my head
i should have known better than take a twelve year old i should have planned one balogny sandwich each
not enough water it made me sad later that a mentally ill person took his daughter
into the middle of the wilderness up a mountain 3,000 feet to a lean-to
we had to walk constantly til dark because of the biting flies a large snake sprouted out under the porch
and yet she never once complained she never did
she never did i love her so for her great courage and understanding for her poor recovering father.
