ten minute walk

ten minute walk

A Poem by kmartell

bright daydreams of a dog on a sidewalk then

I step

 on my own shadow,

follow it into beverage-mart for a turkey bacon sub.

I come out.

in cars leaning, banging doors with fists

leveraged by

gravity,

contempt,

an angry face in a  passing window  pulling

yellow smoke into his nose.
