The Life of a StudentA Poem by KaitlynnThis is a poem about how most teenagers and young adults feel.
Ding ding, goes the bell.
Walk on in, welcome to hell. Every hour the bell will sing. We all wait for the final ring. Everyone's smushed in one room. The teacher lectures, impending doom. Running out, get on the bus. To get home we all rush. Slowly inching down the road, Going no faster than a toad. The day's the same as every day. Leaving us too tired to play. Drooping eyes, falling grades, As yesterday slowly fades. Each day merges together. It's all one day with crazy weather. Hoping to feel, Too tired to heal. Wasting away as the days fly by, Yet we're all too tired to cry. No one understands, "it's just a phase". As we walk around in a daze. Looking people in the eye, Hoping they'll understand why. You want to die, Too tired to try. Anger and headaches consume you. You complain in silence, it's all you can do. Too tired to talk, too tired to scream. Too tired to sleep, too tired to dream. Ding ding, goes the bell. Walk on in, welcome to hell. © 2016 Kaitlynn |
