Dear My Friend,

Dear My Friend,

A Poem by Kaitlynn
"

This is a poem about trying to find yourself before trying to be who someone's used to.

"
When I say I hold nothing against you,
I promise you I am telling the truth.
But right now I am going through some stuff.
I'm trying to build myself up again.
Please do not mind me when I am silent.
Do not take it to heart when I'm distant.
I do not want to hurt you, not at all.
I just want to be me, but it takes time.
I just have to find myself one more time,
To learn to control my moods, just for you.
This has nothing to do with you, it's me.
Once I feel that I am well, I will call.
I have not forgotten you, I still care.
It's because I care, I must stay away.
I need to be me, before I can call.
I do not want to vent every time.
I cannot use you as an escape route.
You are my friend, my family, my rock.
I love you with all my heart, my friend.
Which is why, I must make myself o.k.
